Implementation Service Partner
Implementation Service Partner (ISP) is a master feature that represents the partner supporting Imagine Worldwide in distributing and managing educational inventory (such as tablets and accessories) at the school level.
Each ISP has its own details and associated warehouses, and is linked to schools and distributions.
Prerequisites
Before creating an ISP, ensure the following are set up:
- Company
- Implementation Service Partner (ISP)
- Warehouse Type β For ISP, ISP Replacement, and ISP Returns (pre-configured during data migration).
How to Create an ISP in ERPNext
- From the left sidebar, click Imagine Worldwide.
- Select Implementation Service Partner (ISP) from the list of doctypes.
- Click Add New ISP to create a new record.
- Complete the following fields:
- Partner Name β Official name of the Implementation Service Partner.
- Partner Abbr β Short form or abbreviation of the ISP name.
- Company β The Imagine company managing the partnership (e.g., Imagine Malawi).
- Disabled β A read-only field that will be auto-updated based on the workflow status.
Automatic Warehouse Creation
Once an ISP record is approved, the system will automatically create and link three warehouses to that ISP. These warehouses ensure all stock movements to and from the ISP are tracked properly:
- Parent Warehouse β Group warehouse named using the ISPβs Partner Name.
- In Use Warehouse β For stock actively allocated to the ISP for distribution to schools.
- Returns Warehouse β For any items returned by the ISP.
